Seven-wicket Kyle leads Prestwich to victory

CRICKET: PRESTWICH Cricket Club enjoyed a 54-run win at Woodhouses in the Lees Brewery Lancashire League.

A half century from Hudson inspired Prestwich to a competitive total of 174 runs for the loss of six wickets. Kyle then took phenomenal figures of seven wickets for 13 runs as Woodhouses were skittled for just 120 runs.

Stand suffered a six-wicket defeat at Flowery Field in the same league.

Batting first, Stand were restricted to a disappointing 127-9.

Radcliffe overcame Royton by four wickets in the Lake Brewery Central Lancashire League while Unsworth suffered a 46-run defeat at home to Norden.

Radcliffe topped Royton's 292-run total thanks largely to Ul-Haq, 101 runs, and Tariq, 55.

Unsworth made 165-9 in reply to Norden's 211-8 with their top scores coming via McQueen, 68 runs, and Jamshed, 40.

Radcliffe and Unsworth also played in the John Willie Lees 20/20 Cup at the weekend.

Tariq was unbeaten on 70 not out as Radcliffe surpassed Clifton's 140-run total for the loss of just two wickets.

Madsen hit 60 not out as Unsworth scored 83-5 in reply to Monton and Weaste's 82 runs.
