BOXING Day came early for members of Prestwich Thai Boxing Club.
Twenty-one fighters passed their gradings with high honours at the Whitefield-based gym on Bury Old Road last week.
In the adult section, Claire Kingsley, Scott Baldwin, Steven Moss, Phil Manicolo, Kate Dempsey, Kirsty Hall, Liz Cooper and Alex Doodson all passed with flying colours, with the last six being double graded.
Ashlea Bennett, Rhianna Bennett, Nathan Bennett, Dalton Samuals, Chris Hayden, Nathan Bailey, Nick Jones, Jordan Kay, David Collins, Mark Smith, Mia Romney, Lauren Moore and Connor Umney made the grade in the junior section, which includes children aged five to 16-years-old. The last seven youngsters were double graded.
Instructor Richard Lewis was delighted with his students. He said: "They all did really well and it was superb achievement to have so many pass on one day."
