Double leg break in Heys' cup exit

PRESTWICH Heys crashed out of the Lancashire Amateur Shield at the first round stage with a 5-2 home defeat to Gregorians on Saturday.
And Heys’ misery was capped off by midfielder Andrew Morrissey breaking the tibia and fibula in his right leg during the game.
The consolation goal scorers for Heys, who are one of just three teams with an unbeaten record in the Premier Division after their scheduled league game at Walshaw Sports was postponed last Wednesday due to bad weather, were brothers Brian and Matt Jolly.
All of the other scheduled games involving local Manchester League sides were called off due to water-logged pitches at the weekend.
