RADCLIFFE Borough will begin pre-season training tonight, Thursday, July 5, with all of last year’s squad having committed themselves to the club’s forthcoming UniBond Division One North campaign.
Striker Griff Jones was the final player to declare that he is staying put. He was courted by other clubs following a successful loan spell at Radcliffe at the end of last season.
Meanwhile, Borough are ‘hopeful’ of two new faces taking part in pre-season training having lined up a striker and a midfielder.
They begin their pre-season campaign at home to near neighbours Bury on Tuesday, July 15, before hosting Barrow on Saturday, July 19. Their other pre-season games are Fleetwood Town away on Tuesday, July 22, Wigan Robin Park away on Saturday, July 26, Hyde United at home on Saturday, August 2, and Ashton United away on Tuesday, August 7.
