BURY went second in League Two after maintaining their 100 per cent home record with a convincing victory over Lincoln.
Andy Morrell broke the deadlock on the half-hour mark, only for Lincoln to equalise within seven minutes through a David Buchanan own goal.
But Efe Sodje headed Bury back in front in the 50th minute before Andy Bishop’s 66th-minute penalty sealed it for the Shakers, who remain unbeaten.
Bishop had an early opening when he fired wide from a tight angle, while Lincoln’s Stefan Oakes stung the hands of Wayne Brown with a long-range free-kick.
Morrell then headed wide from Buchanan’s 24th-minute cross but was on target shortly after, tapping in from two yards after Paul Scott headed Mike Jones’ left-wing corner back across goal.
Lincoln drew level as Janos Kovacs glanced Scott Kerr’s corner onto the chest of Buchanan and into the Bury net.
Lenell John-Lewis fired narrowly wide for the visitors just after the restart but Bury hit back to clinch victory.
Kerr cleared a Bishop header off the line and from the resulting corner by Brian Barry-Murphy, Sodje headed home unmarked at the back post.
Lee Beevers then held Scott down at a corner and Bishop stroked in his third goal of the season from the spot.
