Two fights agreed

BOXING: PRESTWICH light middleweight Thomas McDonagh is knuckling down in training after agreeing to fight twice in less than two months.
The 27-year-old will end a nine-month break from the ring when he takes on Holland’s Yassine El Maachi in a six-rounder at the Municipal Hall in Colne on Sunday, March 30.
And McDonagh will then challenge Sheffield’s Andrew Facey for the English Light Middleweight title at the Wigan Robin Park Arena on Friday, March 23.
The 10-rounder with Facey will be televised on Sky Sports.
McDonagh said: "I am very confident of winning both fights and then I will be going for the British title.
"El Maachi is first up. He has only had eight fights but I’ve been reliably informed that he’s pretty decent and I won’t be taking him lightly."
