Actress’ New York dream

ASPIRING actress Susie Lewis (pictured) is looking for a generous sponsor to help her realise a £40,000 dream to train in New York.
Susie, 21, from Prestwich, beat off thousands of hopefuls to become one of a select 200 to win a place at the prestigious New York Conservatory and School of TV and Film.
But she has to find £40,000 to pay the fees for the two-year course plus accommodation.
Susie, who is just completing a three-year music and theatre course in Nottingham, said: "It was a bit nerve-wracking waiting to hear the result, but I was over the moon when I was offered a place. Finance wasn’t something that entered my head at the time, because of the excitement of it all, but now reality has struck."
If she gets to take up her place at the New York Conservatory, she will be joining some illustrious past students, including actor Matthew Fox, star of the cult television series Lost.
