Beauty reaches final

A WHITEFIELD beauty is hoping to wow judges with her brains as well as her beauty when she takes part in a national competition.
Beautiful brunette Zoe Bodnarec hopes to be crowned Miss England and has made it to the semi-finals, to be held in Leicestershire next week.
In order to get a place in the final, the 20-year-old must prove that her beauty is not just skin deep.
As part of the contest she has to organise fundraising nights for the competition’s charity, the Institute of Cancer Research.
Zoe, who lives in Malham Drive, Whitefield, has organised a charity concert in Manchester this weekend and all the proceeds will go to the charity.
The part-time customer services worker said: "I’m really looking forward to the competition and I’m really pleased to have made it this far.
"The whole idea of the competition is that it rewards beauty with a purpose, which is what we are trying to do with this fundraising event."
Zoe, a former Philips High School pupil, has teamed up with indie band Vanir, who have agreed to donate to charity the money made from ticket sales for their gig, which is taking place at the Manchester Roadhouse this Friday, (June 13).
The sexy singleton will also be selling tickets for the event, which cost £5 each.
She hopes to raise enough money to make her a favourite with the judges at the semi-final, which is being held on Tuesday, June 17.
Zoe came second in the competition two years ago and got to the final of Miss Great Britain last year.
She was pipped to the post by Miss Aberdeen.
She said: "I really hope I can get through to the final, which is in July, because I’ve done quite well in the past in this competition. It would be really great to win."
But beauty is not Zoe’s only passion, as she juggles her modelling with a part-time job and is also studying beauty therapy.
She said: "I like to be busy and I’ve been juggling the modelling with work for the past four years.
"I love every part of it."
