EVERY week we're out on the style scene scouting out you glam fashionistas. This week Diary Editor Dianne Bourne quizzed sales manager Melissa Webster, aged 33, from Whitefield about her chic look.

How would you describe your style? Urban chic.

Where did you buy today's outfit and how much did it cost?

Dress: Dunnes, £30

Bangle: Marks & Spencer, £5

Bag: Louis Vuitton, from a rich friend's mum!

Tights: Marks & Spencer, £5

Shoes: Aldo, £80

Who is your style icon?

I like the style of the Sex And The City ladies - particularly Sarah Jessica Parker.

Name your favourite shops.

I love ibizaar in Stockton Heath, it has a real mish-mash of dresses, and I do love my dresses. I also like Mon Amie in Prestwich and Selfridges and Marks & Spencer.

What's your best ever buy?

I bought a puffball skirt in America and I've worn it again and again over the past four years. It's one of those skirts you can dress up or down and it only cost me around £30.

What's your biggest fashion mistake?

When I was younger and in my house music days I got a rubber all-in-one Red or Dead hotpants suit. It still sends shudders down my spine.

How much do you usually spend on clothes each month?

My husband would say too much, and I would say anything between £50 and £400.

What item of clothing can't you live without?

My big knickers! They hide a multitude of sins.
